Content Policy

Voddit works when people can share ideas, disagree, and vote in good faith. These rules apply to everything you post: titles, text, links and photos.

Never allowed

We remove this content, may suspend the account, and may report it to law enforcement:

• Anything illegal, or content that offers, requests or helps with illegal activity.
• Sexual content involving minors in any form. We report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
• Intimate or sexual images of anyone shared without their consent.
• Threats, incitement or glorification of violence, and graphic violence or gore.
• Harassment, bullying or hate aimed at people because of who they are, such as race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
• Private information about anyone, such as home addresses, phone numbers, ID documents, financial or medical records.
• Copyrighted or trademarked material you don't have the right to share.
• Malware, phishing, scams and spam, including misleading links and posting the same thing on many boards.
• Impersonation of people, officials, organizations or government agencies.
• False information about how, when or where to vote in an election.
• Nudity and sexually explicit content.

Links and photos

When you add a link or photos, you certify that they contain nothing illegal and that you have the right to share them. Only share photos you took yourself or have permission to use, and don't share photos of private individuals in private situations without their consent. We automatically remove location data and other hidden information from photos.

Voting and accounts

• One human, one account. No bots, scripts or AI agents.
• No buying, selling or trading votes, and no organizing others to mass-vote.
• Don't create accounts to get around a suspension.

Keep it useful

• Post ideas on the board they're about: a state's board, or USA for ideas for the whole country.
• Make it an idea: something that could actually be done.
• Argue with ideas, not with people.

Enforcement

Moderators may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend accounts that break them seriously or repeatedly. To report something, use the Report button on the idea. For copyright notices and anything else, email help@voddit.com. If someone is in immediate danger, contact 911 or local law enforcement.
